Vocal instruction

Vocalist Samantha Talmadge has performed as a soloist with many major symphony orchestras, including the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Hartford Symphony, New Britain Symphony and Chatter Chamber Ensemble. She has been a performer with professional companies such as Musica Romantica and Teatro Nuevo Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and has also performed with Santa Fe Opera’s outreach program in Donizetti’s "The Nightbell."

Samantha Talmadge received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance in May, 2009 from Yale University and is currently an adjunct instructor of voice at Connecticut College.

Most recently, Samantha appeared in the role of Marie Dindon in "La Cage Aux Folles" at the Ivoryton Playhouse. Additionally, she performed in concert as a highlighted performer for the Merryall Center of Performing Arts and as a guest soloist for the cancer research fundraiser Upbeat Like Millie.

In Fall 2012, she sang the role of Micäela with Connecticut Lyric Opera and also made her professional musical theater debut with the Ivoryton Playhouse in their summer production of "Oliver." Additionally, she played the character of Hollie Annie Ivy for the Essex Steam Train’s seasonal production of the "North Pole Express."

Samantha co-founded The Sustenance Project, a group of professional musicians performing a wide variety of music to benefit various charity organizations such as the Simsbury Food Bank, and Dawn of a New Day, A Concert for Breast Cancer Awareness.
