Our faculty are interested in your creativity, commitment, and passion for theater in whatever form it may take and welcomes materials that demonstrate your work as an actor, director, playwright, designer, technician or writer about theater.
We encourage you to schedule an interview with a member of the theater faculty to discuss Connecticut College's theater major, and your theatrical interests and experiences. Be sure to schedule an interview well in advance, as our faculty have very full schedules. Also, please be sure to schedule an interview before the Admission application deadline. During the academic year, please call Dotty Jo Scott, Academic Assistant for the Theater Department, at (860) 439-2605 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for an appointment. If no one is in the office when you call, leave a detailed message with a phone number and time when you can be reached. Someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
Our faculty are interested in your creativity, commitment and passion for theater in whatever form it may take as an actor, director, playwright, designer, technician, scholar, or activist. If you can't visit campus, consider submitting a video (up to five minutes long) where you speak directly to the camera and describe your theater activities, your special interests, and how you find purpose and/or creativity through theater. This is not required for admission, but helps us better understand your theater background and interests.
Please do not submit recordings of live performances.
