Celebrate the holidays with Christmas Vespers

Ring in the holiday season on Wednesday, Dec. 14, with one of Connecticut College's oldest traditions, "Christmas Vespers: A Service of Lessons and Carols." A campus favorite since 1917, Vespers is a candlelight celebration of blessings, readings and songs that joyously herald the holidays.

This year's observance will be led by three College chaplains, Carolyn Patierno, Larry LaPointe and Aracelis Vazquez Haye. The music will be provided by Music Professor John Anthony on organ, the Connecticut College Chamber Choir conducted by Music Professor Paul Althouse, and student a cappella groups the Shwiffs, ConnChords and ConnArtists. Join the celebration in Harkness Chapel at 5 p.m. on Dec. 14.

The event is free and open to the public.
