Alternative housing
Alternative housing provides opportunities for groups to thrive around a common cause. Options include wellness housing, quiet housing, single-sex floors, academic year-round housing, sustainable living and language housing.
Gender-inclusive housing
Gender-inclusive housing allows students to self-select roommates of a different gender or biological sex. This option is available to all students. The College's gender-inclusive housing policy acknowledges the extraordinary diversity of the student population at Connecticut College, including gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning students; ensures the College provides fair and inclusive housing options for all students; and is not limited to any particular residence house.
Independent living options
Recognizing that not all students will want to live together under a common interest, additional apartments and independent living spaces will be available to students based on their combined lottery numbers and application.
