Advising Faculty: Patrice Newman, Linda Skernick, John Anthony, Midge Thomas

Elliott's senior recital is a keyboard recital, in which she played pieces for piano, harpsichord, and organ. As a culmination of her studies at Connecticut College, she wanted to create a concert at which people could experience the beauty and richness of these instruments, while also presenting a repertoire that spans a variety of musical eras. The first part of the recital included a group of harpsichord pieces from the Baroque era, followed by Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, for organ. The remainder of the program was piano music, centered around Romantic era compositions, including works by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Debussy. The recital concluded with Brahms’ Sonata No. 1, Op. 78, movement 1, a chamber work for violin and piano in which she collaborated with her younger sister, Nadia. It is Elliott's way of highlighting the amazing experiences, knowledge acquired, and inspirational people she worked with over four years.
