Territories of Difference: An Institutional Sonic Navigation Tour

Territories of Difference was a sonic navigation tour that explored perceived inequalities in social spaces on the Connecticut College campus. This project utilized spatial and spoken word recordings which specifically reflected Mercado’s experiences. The project questioned the notion of inequalities, shared the “othering” experience and “humanizing the physical experience” at private liberal arts schools.
